Day one of the 6:30am workout went well. Then the boys were off to scout day camp. Happy day for everyone!! Missa and I ran a couple of errands and then went to the O'Neills to play tennis. I LOVED it. Why haven't I played in so long?
Missa and I spent the afternoon resting and watching HGTV while folding laundry and tidying up the house. Pretty low key day but just what we needed.

Great day at church today. The mission president and his wife & son spoke to us and each had an excellent message. Even the kids were pretty well behaved.
After church we cooked and cooked some more before heading over to the O'Neills. Great food, great company. We laughed and ate and swam until after 10pm when we all tried to stay awake long enough to make it home to our beds. Favorite convo of the night:
Missa: Can someone take off my swim shirt so I can NAKED?!?
Mom: Let's go get changed in the bathroom.
Missa: No! NEVER!
She proceeded to answer every question the rest of the day with, No! NEVER! Then she laughs and giggles like crazy.
Also, I loved watching Mason in the pool. He is SO happy in the water. He played with all the little kids and splashed around for hours and hours. Love that kid!

Clean Up! Clean Up! Everybody, everywhere!!
Today we cleaned out the kids' rooms and the basement. It took all day. All. Day. I am pretty sure the kids hate our guts. In fact, Mason said he hates our guts. I am 50% sure he didn't really mean it. We also did some cooking to get ready for BBQ at the O'Neills tomorrow. I attempted some cookie decorating. First time on my own. I think I need a few more practice sessions with Rosa before I attempt another solo flight.

Today was bittersweet. After letting the kids loose in the candy aisle of Walgreens to pick out tons of road trip treats, we delivered those treats and some homemade cards to our dear friends, the Stockwells. We were so sad to say goodbye and will miss them dearly. Mason was especially sad today to say goodbye to his good friend Matthew and his second mom Katrina. We are so excited for them to be in their new home and new city! We are hoping to make a visit in September. After a sad start to the day we decided to drown our sorrows at the pool. A great morning of swimming at the Y cheered every one! Many friends were there and we all had a great time. The O'Neill's and Lewis' joined us for lunch at Megoburger, our new favorite burger spot in Ponca. In our super official, scientific taste test they were voted the best cheeseburger in Ponca City!
For about a year and half the kids have been begging to go to The Conoco Museum. I finally took them this afternoon. After a trip to the bathroom Missa yelled, "This place is fantastic!!". That is what I call a success.
From there we went to 5th Street Park after a stop at the grocery store for fudgesicles and water. A couple of hours later it was evident that everyone was getting tired (the moms too!) so we called it a day. Matt has taken the boys to play basketball at the church and the Miss and I are gearing up to make sugar cookies for the cookout on Sunday.

A fun day of crafting and swimming with the O'Neills. Mason has a bit of a sunburn and the rest of us are happy and tired. A dinner with the work girls at the Rusty Barrel for me while Matt put all the kiddos to bed. Great day!
