Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great day yesterday! Matt decided to go fishing with a friend so he got up at 3:30am to do some shore fishing. While we waited for him to get home, the kids helped me do some cooking. We made a pie, rolls, cranberry butter and a few other odds and ends. When we finished to cooking, we all had a much needed nap!

We were so lucky to be headed to the Spilker's house for dinner. They are great friends and Amy is a FANTASTIC cook!

When we arrived, Mark told the kids that he had raked some leaves for them to jump in...let the fun begin!!

Franklin Science Institute

Our second day in Philly was spent at the Franklin Science Institute. We had such a fun time there that if we had not all been so tired, we would have stayed all day!

We were so busy having fun today, that we didn't take too many pictures!

The kids loved the train exhibit. Lots to look at, lots to touch...what more could we ask for?

Then there was the flight museum. We got to sit in an airplane, make a fly paper airplanes, hold pretend wings and stand in a wind tunnel. We spent a good hour in there before we were off to tour the giant sized human heart. We followed the pathway that the blood travels through the heart and learned all sorts of cool things like how much blood we have in our bodies (Matt had over 200 cups!!)
Finally, we went up to the third floor where people were riding around on the sky bike (picture riding a bicycle on a tightrope) and there was the pro sports exhibit. Mason practiced his surfing, while Ollie was a rock climber. We also practiced spinning like figure skaters, doing slam dunks, stock car racing and defending our soccer goal in front of a green screen.

Weekend in Philly

We were lucky enough to spend a weekend in Philadelphia with Grandma and Grandpa Riley a few weeks ago. (I really AM that behind on my blogging!) We had a blast seeing all things Philly, enjoying cheesesteak sandwiches, and especially spending time with Matt's parents!

Here are Matt and the boys in front of the Liberty Bell. The kids were so good the first day we were there, we made them go see all the historical sites. I am sure they thought this would be the worst vacation ever!

Ollie running for a minute on the grass across from Independence Hall. We did a lot of walking, which means the kids did a lot of riding in the stroller. This was a much need potty/run around break! Below is Mason acting happy about getting back in the stroller to go see Benjamin Franklin's grave at the nearby cemetery.

FINALLY! Two very happy boys after we went in out of the cold and let them run their hearts out at the old Reading Railroad building. It is now the convention center. A child's dream: plenty of room to run around, tons of stairs and escalators, and really cool architecture for the rest of us!

Which Twilight novel character are you?

You're Bella Swan - You are intelligent and kind but not quite sure what you want out of life yet. You have a feeling there's something more out there for you. You're attracted to those who are real and avoid the fake. Sometimes you're a bit accident prone, but your true friends will always be loyal to you and come to your aid when you need it.

OK...so not what I would have pegged myself. But, hey these quizzes DON'T LIE!!
