A Pie Baking Kind of Day

My two assistant bakers and I spent a good part of the day yesterday baking pies. After one failed attempt (not pictured) we ended up with two rather tasty pies to take to some friends house for dessert.

Ummm. . . which friend would that be that you're visiting? I really don't have a problem inviting myself over there if I get a piece of one of those!

Can we make it a party? I'll settle for the recipes, although if you had trouble, I'm not likely to be sucessful. You are a master chef!

those both look so so tasty. especially since I swore off sweets this week. I do reserve the right to make exceptions as I see fit.
